Description

Chicago physician Louis Creed moves with his wife, two young children, and their cat to a home near Ludlow, Maine. A heavily trafficked highway runs beside the property, while a woodland pet cemetery leads toward an older burial ground beyond a forbidden boundary. After treating a student fatally injured in a crash, Louis receives an ominous warning that seems to exceed ordinary medical experience. When the family cat is killed by a truck, neighbor Jud Crandall takes Louis to the ancient burial ground. The cat returns altered and disturbing, confronting Louis with the terrifying consequences of resurrection.
