Collected API

Better book context. Not another catalog feed.

Collected is an enrichment layer for teams that already have titles, ISBNs, and covers. Send a book record. Get the canonical work and the context your product needs to explain, match, and recommend it.

What it does

Resolve first. Enrich second.

A confident enrichment attached to the wrong book is still wrong. Identity and uncertainty stay part of the response.

Resolve

Find the actual work.

Start with an ISBN or an imperfect title and author. Ambiguous records stay ambiguous.

Enrich

Add what readers care about.

Original descriptions, reading experience, series, authors, editions, and recognition where the evidence supports it.

Inspect

Keep the receipts.

Confidence, provenance, audit state, and record versions stay attached to the result.

Batch

Work through a catalog.

Resolve or hydrate bounded batches without replacing the catalog and cover providers you already use.

The response

More useful than a title, cover, and ISBN.

Canonical identity

Work IDs, editions, ISBNs, authors, series, and source aliases

Reader context

Genres, themes, tone, pace, prose, structure, setting, and reading effort

Editorial layer

Original descriptions and stored author profiles

Trust layer

Provenance class, confidence, audit status, and record versions

The boundary

Use your existing catalog and cover provider.

We do not sell a cover corpus, retail inventory, availability, or a generic ISBN database. Collected makes existing book records more useful.

Developer access

Start with the contract.

The production API is online and protected. Customer accounts, key management, usage reporting, and billing are being introduced in stages.
