Description

After a murder at the Louvre, symbologist Robert Langdon is summoned to interpret a cryptic message left by the slain curator. Cryptologist Sophie Neveu secretly reveals her family connection to the victim and joins Langdon as he follows clues hidden in works by Leonardo da Vinci. Their investigation draws them into a conflict involving the Priory of Sion and Opus Dei. At the center of the mystery are a coded cryptex and the legend of the Holy Grail. As the pair pursue answers, the novel develops an alternative religious history involving Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and the possibility of a hidden bloodline.
