Description

Former military policeman Jack Reacher is a drifter passing through Margrave, Georgia, in 1997. Within an hour of arriving, he is arrested for a murder he insists he did not commit. Detective chief Finlay and officer Roscoe become important allies, with Roscoe believing in Reacher’s innocence. The investigation soon connects the killing to Reacher’s brother and to a counterfeiting operation protected by corrupt local officials. As Reacher pursues the truth, he and those around him face escalating danger, including prison violence and hostage threats. The criminal network’s use of Margrave to produce and distribute counterfeit money turns his wrongful arrest into a far-reaching and deeply personal case.
