Description

Inheritance is the final novel in the Inheritance Cycle, following Eragon and the Varden as their campaign against the Empire approaches its climax. The Varden capture Belatona, but an ancient spear capable of piercing magical defenses nearly kills Saphira. At the fortified city of Dras-Leona, a dangerous infiltration opens the way for the resistance. After Nasuada is captured, Eragon becomes leader of the Varden as they advance on the Empire’s capital. Under the pressure of command, he seeks the Vault of Souls and discovers hidden dragon spirits and eggs. Those newly allied spirits then join the forces besieging Urû’baen for the assault on Galbatorix’s citadel.
