Description

Alex Cross, a forensic psychologist and police detective, is investigating murder when two wealthy children are abducted from their private school. He and his partner, John Sampson, join a multi-agency search that points toward Gary Soneji, a calculating criminal who infiltrated the school by posing as a teacher. Soneji’s ransom demand draws Cross into a carefully staged exchange at Disney World, but the case refuses to follow a single, orderly pattern. As Cross pursues the missing girl, a separate series of murders begins to suggest a connection to the kidnapping. The thriller sets his psychological insight against a perpetrator intent on controlling both the investigation and the public story surrounding his crimes.
