The inquiry leads Marple and former police officer Sir Henry Clithering to the Majestic Hotel, where they collaborate on the investigation. At the center of the mystery is a connection between the dead dancer Ruby Keene and missing Girl Guide Pamela Reeves, who was lured by someone posing as a film producer.
