Description

Ninth House follows Alex Stern, a traumatized twenty-year-old dropout who can see ghosts. After a troubled youth and surviving an unsolved multiple homicide, she receives a full scholarship to Yale as a second chance. There, Alex joins Lethe and is assigned to monitor eight secret societies operating behind the university’s prestigious façade. These groups practice dangerous occult magic, making Alex’s unusual ability especially relevant to her new role. Yet she also searches for an answer to why she was chosen in the first place. As Alex looks more closely at the societies and their activities, she discovers that their occult practices are more sinister than she expected.
