Description

College student Chyna Shepherd is visiting her friend Laura's family when a serial killer invades their home and shatters her rare experience of safety and belonging. Survival skills learned during an unstable childhood help Chyna escape, but they do not let her walk away. After discovering that the killer may be holding a girl named Ariel, she follows him aboard his motor home and into the isolation of his remote property. Chyna must remain unseen, understand an unpredictable predator, and reach Ariel before her presence is discovered. Told through alternating perspectives and compressed into near-continuous conflict, the horror novel turns one woman's pursuit into a test of endurance, calculation, and moral courage.
