Description

Eight-year-old George wants to cure his grandmother’s unpleasant habits, so he replaces her regular dose with a fierce, bubbling medicine assembled from ingredients he finds around the house and farm. The result does not improve her temperament: it makes her grow to an enormous height. When the concoction also causes farm animals to grow dramatically, George’s father becomes eager to reproduce it. But George never recorded the recipe, and each new attempt produces a different bizarre effect. Roald Dahl turns the experiment into a fast-moving comic tale of revenge, reckless invention, and transformations that become increasingly difficult for George and his family to control.
