In the coastal resort town of Boleta Bay, Funland looks like harmless summer entertainment by day, but violence is spreading through the amusement park. A hostile group known as the Trolls intimidates visitors, and local teenagers suspect that its members are connected to a string of disappearances. Frustrated by fear and official inaction, the teenagers plan to enter the park after closing and hunt their tormentors themselves. Their campaign begins with pranks and the confidence that they understand the enemy, then escalates into lethal confrontation. The funhouse, with its concealed spaces and distorted reflections, holds a deeper threat than the one they expect. Laymon combines teenage vigilantism and amusement-park horror in a brutal story about how quickly revenge can erase the boundary between hunters and prey.
