Every Halloween, Satan’s Affair rolls into a new town with haunted houses, rides, food, and the promise of manufactured fear. Behind the carnival façade, however, its narrator uses the attraction to punish people judged to be evil. Once selected, the condemned become quarry for a band of relentless henchmen, and ordinary escape routes offer little protection. At the center of the operation waits a nightmarish dollhouse where victims’ pleas cannot reach anyone willing to help. This horror novella places the reader inside the punisher’s logic rather than the victim’s innocence, combining carnival spectacle with vigilante brutality. Its central unease lies in a private system of judgment whose theatrical horrors conceal real captivity and violence.
