Description

On Gont, an island in the Earthsea archipelago, the young Ged reveals exceptional magical ability and begins training under experienced practitioners. At wizardry school, his difficult temperament brings him into conflict with another student. A magical duel then goes wrong, unleashing a shadow creature that attacks Ged and continues to pursue him. His journey across Earthsea becomes an effort to free himself from the shadow’s threat while learning to master his own power and confront mortality. In this world, magic is bound to true names and to maintaining a fundamental balance in the universe.
