Description

In the remote Two Rivers village of Emond's Field, the arrival of Aes Sedai Moiraine is followed by a Trolloc attack and a warning: servants of the Dark One are hunting one of three young men. Rand al'Thor, Perrin Aybara, and Matrim Cauthon flee with Moiraine and a small company, leaving familiar country for lands shaped by old powers and present dangers. Shelter in the cursed city of Shadar Logoth leaves Mat infected by a dagger and scatters the travelers across separate routes filled with hostile zealots, unexpected allies, and strange abilities. Their journeys converge around a threat to the Eye of the World, which lies beyond the civilized world in the Blight. The high-fantasy quest combines pursuit, discovery, and an expanding struggle against darkness.
