Tahereh Mafi’s Unravel Me follows Juliette after she escapes to Omega Point, a refuge for people with unusual abilities and the base of a rebel resistance. Her arrival places her beyond the Reestablishment’s plan to use her powers as a weapon, but it does not end the danger surrounding her. Warner, her former captor, continues to pursue her and refuses to let her escape without resistance. The novel therefore begins from a precarious freedom: Juliette has reached allies and a center of opposition, while a figure from her captivity remains determined to reclaim control.
