After claiming Callandor and accepting that he is the Dragon Reborn, Rand al’Thor must turn prophecy into authority before the Shadow overwhelms a weakening world. He travels from the Stone of Tear toward the Aiel Waste, where recognition as the Aiel’s destined leader demands that he confront their guarded history and divided loyalties. Around him, the story widens: Egwene seeks training in Dreamwalking, Perrin returns to a Two Rivers under threat, and Elayne and Nynaeve pursue the Black Ajah in Tarabon. These journeys separate familiar companions while drawing distant cultures and conflicts into the same struggle. The fourth Wheel of Time novel expands both the world and the burden attached to Rand’s contested identity.
