Description

Andrew Harlan is an elite Technician for Eternity, an organization outside ordinary time that alters history to reduce human suffering. Each carefully calculated intervention creates a safer reality, but it can also erase scientific breakthroughs, artistic achievements, and entire possible lives. While working in the 482nd century, Harlan falls in love with Noÿs Lambent and breaks Eternal law to protect her from an impending change. When a mysterious barrier cuts him off from her, his private rebellion becomes entangled with a time loop and a mission involving Eternity’s own beginnings. The novel turns temporal engineering into a conflict between security and possibility, asking who should control humanity’s future—and what progress is lost when every risk is removed.
