Description

Stephen King’s Fairy Tale follows seventeen-year-old Charlie Reade, who lives with his widowed father in Sentry’s Rest, Illinois. After finding an elderly neighbor injured, Charlie begins caring for him and his German Shepherd, Radar. The neighbor’s unusual wealth and revelations about his age lead Charlie to a portal concealed in a backyard shed. Beyond it lies Empis, a world whose magical resources require protection. When Radar becomes ill, Charlie enters Empis hoping its magic can restore her. There he encounters an exiled royal family, a population afflicted by the mysterious gray illness, and the threat of Flight Killer, whose return may depend on a rare celestial event.
