Description

Four lifelong friends reunite for their annual hunting trip at an isolated lodge near Derry, Maine. Since childhood, their bond with Duddits has given them telepathy, shared dreams, and other psychic abilities, but those gifts offer uncertain protection when a delirious stranger arrives carrying an alien parasite and infectious spores. The entity known as Mr. Gray takes control of Jonesy’s mind, while the remaining friends become trapped between the spreading invasion and a disturbed retired Air Force colonel determined to contain it. Henry must persuade the military to stop the possessed Jonesy before the infection escapes the region. Combining science-fiction horror with a story of friendship under extreme pressure, the novel links bodily invasion and mental captivity to memory, loyalty, and unresolved childhood experience.
