Integration details

A work is the book itself; an edition is a particular publication. ISBNs and publication details belong to editions. Resolve the input, check the selected edition, then store both IDs. Add the author to a title lookup when you can, and keep each result tied to your original row.

A candidate list is not a confirmed match. Preserve your row ID and review low-confidence results.

Keep keys on your server. Save matched IDs and compare record versions when refreshing data. Missing fields should not overwrite good values in your catalog.

Access is by approval. Commercial storage and reuse follow your agreed terms. Ebook files, inventory and cover-image redistribution rights are outside the API.
