After defeat in Heaven, Satan and the fallen angels awaken in Hell and debate how to answer their banishment. Satan volunteers to cross the newly ordered universe and corrupt God’s latest creation: humanity. In Eden, Adam and Eve possess freedom, companionship, and dominion over creation, subject to one prohibition concerning the tree of knowledge. Their vulnerability to temptation brings the cosmic rebellion into domestic intimacy, where persuasion, desire, pride, and responsibility become inseparable. Written in blank verse, the epic moves among Hell, Heaven, chaos, and paradise while retelling the Fall of Man. Its vast theological drama examines free will and predestination, the seductions of power, and the difficulty of distinguishing heroic defiance from self-deceiving evil.
