Description

Naruto Uzumaki is a loud, mischievous orphan training to become a ninja in the Hidden Leaf Village, where most adults shun him for reasons they refuse to explain. He dreams of becoming Hokage, the village’s leader, but first he must pass the academy’s graduation test. Another failure draws him into a scheme involving a forbidden scroll and reveals that a destructive fox spirit was sealed inside him as an infant. After proving his courage to his teacher Iruka, Naruto joins gifted rival Sasuke, capable Sakura, and enigmatic instructor Kakashi. This opening manga volume combines comic disruption, martial action, and an underdog’s hunger for recognition as Naruto begins turning isolation into determination.
