Description
C. Stillman Fuller is a work-driven financier caught in a bleak corporate world whose senior executives begin appearing to him as predatory zombies. Horrified by the possibility that he has become one of them, Fuller abandons the company, disguises himself as a janitor, and sets out across the country in an old pickup truck. His flight from professional success soon becomes an absurd nightmare, complete with a gigantic apparition of Richard Nixon in pursuit. Blending corporate intrigue, surreal comedy, and near-fantastical menace, Gary Clemenceau turns one banker’s midlife escape into a sardonic examination of capitalism, conformity, and the fear that an institution’s dehumanizing values have already taken hold within the individual.
