Lauren Roberts

Lauren Roberts writes romantic fantasy in which intimate loyalties are tested by rigid hierarchies, political duty, and threats to survival. Her fiction favors direct, dialogue-driven storytelling, using pursuit, competition, and difficult choices to tie romantic tension to public consequences. Powerless establishes this pattern through Paedyn Gray, a young woman without supernatural abilities who survives a kingdom that persecutes people like her by posing as a mind reader before being forced into its deadly trials. Later stories shift attention among lovers, friends, fugitives, and those left behind while remaining concerned with trust under pressure and the cost of choosing between personal bonds and larger obligations.
